B.ED. ADMISSION 2010-11

Instructions for submitting Online Application form for B. Ed. 2010-11

STEP - I
The candidate will visit the website punjabedu.org where he/she will initially click the Bank Form. The candidate shall select the Group (i.e. All India 15% (Science and Humanities), Sciences 85%, Humanities 85%) in which he/she is eligible as per instructions given in Notification. After entering the Name and Security Key, the candidate shall click the Submit Button to generate Bank Deposit Slip bearing a unique Deposit ID. The candidate is advised to take the print-out of bank deposit slip in Landscape Orientation.

STEP - II
The print-out of Bank Deposit Slip is to be taken by the candidate to any branch of State Bank of Patiala and deposit the required fee (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST and Rs. 1000/- for others). The bank will issue a Journal ID for the candidate corresponding to his/her Deposit ID and shall return student copy and university copy to the candidate

STEP - III
The candidate shall go back to the website after one hour from the time at which bank fee was deposited, for the submission of Application form. The candidate shall click on the application form, fill in bank Deposit ID. The Candidate Name & Group shall appear on the form. The candidate shall fill in Journal ID provided by the bank, fee amount, Deposit date, Branch Code and Application Form particulars. Candidates in reserved category shall carefully indicate the claim for one category only. Click on the Submit Button to preview the particulars submitted. In case any correction is required, click on the Edit Button otherwise click on Lock Button. On Clicking the Lock Button, the unique Application ID along with the details of application form shall appear on the screen. The candidate shall take its print-out.

Important Points Regarding Admission Process:

  • Major subject will be allocated by B. Ed. Committee. Minor subject will be allocated by the college.

  • This year as per the Notification, for Honours candidates, language can also be allocated as a major subject.

  • When a candidate reports for admission at the allocated College, the College will verify all the documents of the candidates and will admit candidate only when candidate is found eligible as per the Punjab Govt. notification.

  • A Candidate must report at allocated college within stipulated time.

  • In case of rural area candidates the college will also check the certificates of 8th and 10th class in case of candidates seeking benefit 5% marks. In case if the candidate’s claim is false, the candidate would not be given any admission. All such cases would be referred back to the coordinator B.Ed. 2010.
Regarding Management Quota Seats in the College:
  • The colleges will advertise management quota seats in the newspaper and fill these seats within 3 days of completion of 1st counseling as per University Guidelines.

  • There shall be no reservation, whatsoever, in respect of the prescribed management quota seats.

  • The Management of the Institute shall fill up management quota seats on the basis of combined merit list through own counseling in a transparent manner.
Documents to be submitted to the college by the students:
    1. Detail Marks Card of Matric (10th)
    2. Detail Marks Card of all Examinations
    3. Character Certificate (from the Institute last attended)
    4. Residence Certificate.
    5. Reservation Category Certificate
    6. Any other relevant Certificate.
