PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL REPORT OF SESSION 2014-15

Sri Guru Angad Dev College of Education, Khadur Sahib, a renowned name in the arena of Education colleges is an epitome of Quality Teacher Education in harmony with value education. The institution has successfully completed its journey of ten years since its establishment in 2005. The institution has visualized major development projects under the able guidance of its visionary chairperson, Padam Sri Baba Sewa Singh ji so as to provide modern and advanced infrastructural facilities to its stakeholders. The institution has endeavored to commence a new course D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education) since session 2015-16. In the present scenario of teacher education system undergoing drastic changes in its norms, rules and regulations, the institution is enthusiastically ready to face the challenges.

The institution organizes various curricular and co-curricular activities through the functioning of its various clubs and committees.

The pupil-teachers got enough opportunities to develop their personality by participating in Talent Hunt programme, Workshops, Inter-house competitions, Library exhibition, Morning assemblies, Annual athletic meet, Important Days' celebration, Inter-college competitions, Extension lectures by prominent personalities, Trip & tour, etc.

The students of the institution have brought laurels to the institution by securing good scores in the final examination of Guru Nanak Dev University during session 2014-15. Twenty two students of the institution achieved distinction marks and one student Navjot Kaur grabbed merit position in University merit list. The institution has maintained its tradition of 100% pass percentage even during session 2014-15.

The faculty of the institution is persistent and dedicated towards the professional ethics. They are engrossed in various research works in light of modern scenario. Two assistant professors are pursuing their Ph.D. programme. Every assistant professor has got their papers published in reputed journals, etc. The faculty members are very enthusiastic and actively participate in seminars, conferences, etc. The institution provides a colossal platform to its stakeholders especially teacher educators and pupil-teachers to enhance their personal and professional skills.
